Congratulations to eighth grader, Brionna Baldwin.  She was selected by her teachers as October Student of the Month.

The teacher who nominated Brionna for this award had this to say:  Brionna works hard every day on any task she's asked to do.  She's dependable, trustworthy and has a work ethic much better than most high school students. One characteristic she has that puts her head and shoulders above others is her ability to be proactive.  She knows what needs to be done and she does it.  She's already earned 217 AR points and has read over 1 million words, which makes her the first student to reach millionaire status this year. Brionna was the first student in my critical thinking class to turn in her nicely completed summer reading project and her book report form.  She also successfully passed her AR test on her summer book.  I see her as a wonderful example for other students to follow. I've had the pleasure of having Brionna in my classes for both 7th and 8th grade and I've yet to see her do less than her very best, no matter the assignment or the task.  She's at school every day with a positive attitude, kind supporting words for her peers, and a smile on her face. She has the potential to do anything she sets her mind to, and I look forward to seeing the wonderful things she will accomplish.

Congratulations, Brionna!  We're proud to have you represent the JMS Eagles!
